Nell Melcher became recognized for her contemporary watercolor/penline still life paintings in the 1970's. Over the years she has added a spontaneous "brushy" style and a soft, free, ethereal style which can be seen in her paintings, note cards and posters. Her flower and still life paintings reflect the brilliant, transparent and luminous quality of the watercolor medium.
